Postgraduate international fees and funding
International fees apply to any students who live outside of the European Union (EU).
Students from countries within the EU pay the same tuition fees as students from the UK.
International fees: taught postgraduate degrees
International tuition fees are £11,000 per year for the majority of full-time postgraduate taught courses starting in 2016/17. A full-time postgraduate programme usually takes one year to complete.
A small number of taught postgraduate courses have different fees. Fee information for each course offered by the University of Sunderland can be found on the Postgraduate Course Finder section of the website.
International fees: research postgraduate degrees
Research postgraduate fees vary according to what level you are studying at, and whether or not the research area is lab-based.
The international fees can be found with the UK/EU fees on the page Research postgraduate tuition fees.
Postgraduate international scholarships
All international students studying a taught postgraduate degree are awarded a £1,000 scholarship per year of study.
All international students studying a research postgraduate degree are awarded a £1,500 scholarship per year of study.
You do not have to apply for this scholarship; it is automatically applied to reduce your total annual tuition fee.
