Higher Doctorate
The Higher Doctorates awarded by the University of Sunderland are:
- Doctor of Letters (DLitt)
- Doctor of Science (DSc)
- Doctor of Technology (DTech)
- Doctor of Laws (LLD)
The work submitted shall be of high standard and should constitute an original and significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge or to the application of knowledge or to both. It should establish that the applicant is a leading authority in the field(s) of study concerned.
