£1,000 cash scholarship for each year of continuous full-time study

The Sunderland Excellence Scholarship recognises academic excellence with an award of £1,000 for each year of your course.

Who's eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must achieve AAB at A Level or equivalent, excluding General Studies.

This scholarship is available for all new ‘home’ and EU students joining the University of Sunderland in 2012 on the courses stated. 'Home' students are those who have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of their course.

Students applying for some Foundation degrees at partner colleges can apply for this scholarship. Please see the full list of eligible partner college programmes for more information.

2. Does the AAB equivalent (340 points) have to be based on just the main qualification taken, or can it be made up of all tariff points I have achieved?

How to apply

This scholarship is applied automatically to those students who achieve AAB at A Level or HEFCE equivalent.
