Tuition fees
The University of Sunderland’s full-time undergraduate tuition fees are in three bands: £7,000, £7,800 and £8,500 per year. The fees are based on the level and cost of the course being studied.
Fees for Foundation Degrees delivered off-campus at partner colleges are £7,000. Fees for most classroom-based courses are £7,800. Fees for resource-intensive courses that require special facilities or equipment are £8,500.

A worthwhile investment
A degree is vital to your career prospects, and many employers will only consider applicants with a graduate qualification.
University remains an excellent investment. According to the Office for National Statistics, graduates earn on average £12,000 a year more than people who just have A Levels or equivalent qualifications.
Part-time students
Tuition fees for part-time students starting in 2012 are £667 per 20 Credits. A part-time course of 60 Credits is therefore £2000, and a part-time course of 120 Credits is £4000.
The fees are the same regardless of whether you are studying on-campus or at a off-campus partner college.
Different fees apply if you are applying to a Study Centre, or if you are currently studying at a partner college and you are applying for a top-up course at Sunderland. If this is the case, please contact us for more information.
Part-time students can apply for the Sunderland National Scholarship Programme.
International students
International fees apply to any students who live outside of the European Union (EU).
The tuition fees for full-time International students starting in 2012 are £9000 per year.
Tuition fees for international students are higher because the UK Government subsidises the cost of university tuition for UK / EU students.
All undergraduate and postgraduate international students automatically receive a £1500 scholarship. This is automatically deducted from the first year's tuition fee.
