The University of Sunderland has been identified as one of the top providers of both Primary and Secondary Teacher Education in the university sector by the Government's Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted).
The Faculty has grown significantly over the past 100 years and now provides a wide range of secondary and primary courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
At undergraduate level we offer courses in Primary, ICT, Science, English and Mathematics.
We also offer Maths and Science Enhancement Courses which act as a ‘top up’ course for students who want to progress onto a Secondary Postgraduate programme. These courses are are for students who already hold a Maths or Science degree and students who require additional subject knowledge.
Our 11-18 years Postgraduate programmes include Design and Technology, English, Geography, ICT, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and Business.
