"I decided to study a degree in Photography, Video and Digital Imaging at Sunderland because of the variety in the course and because there was a great vibe at the university in general - none of the elitism I'd experienced elsewhere.
"Soon after graduating I moved to London to work for Reuters. I also worked as a Picture Researcher and for ITV before getting my current job at Getty Images.
"It's perfect for me and I've done my fair share of travelling - the Cannes film festival, the MTV awards in Madrid and soon I'm going to work in New York.
"Looking back it really was a life-changing experience at Sunderland and helped to shape the way I am today."
