Social Sciences
What is Social Sciences?
Social science is concerned with the key challenges facing society in the 21st century, particularly those associated with the current radical reorganisation of public services and how this impacts upon children, young people, families, older people and communities.
If you choose a programme that also has a professional qualification, you will also learn how to support people to make positive choices about their health and well-being and achieve more independence and control in their lives.
You will also learn how to give children the best possible start in life and protect and support more vulnerable members of society, empowering them to achieve their full potential.
