Research

My main academic research interest is to investigate the links between actual local business practice and known management accounting techniques and theoretical models.
I have almost 40 years of management and teaching experience developed during two careers as an owner/manager and director in the building services industry and also more recently teaching and supervision in higher education.

Currently my responsibilities are as module leader and programme leader in the accounting and finance areas. In addition, I am also the Centre Leader for our off campus partner MDIS in Tashkent. The Centre Leader role is quite interesting and has provided me with an overview of courses that we offer for our students who study abroad and how we work with our partners.
Qualifications:

  • MBA, Durham University
  • PGCert Higher Education, University of Sunderland
  • Fellow Higher Education Academy, UK Professional Standards Framework
