Culture Research Student Manager

I am a specialist in postcolonial writing. I have published, authored and edited eight books, more than twenty book chapters and many articles. I have links with academic institutions and academics in the Middle East, India and China.

Teaching and supervision

I teach on the following modules:

  • Undergraduate: Victorian Literature, The Modern Novel, World Englishes in Fiction
  • Postgraduate: Orientalism
  • PhD: Present students are working on topics including Post 9/11 writing, Modernist Islam, and Postcolonial Ecocriticism
