Lecturer in Creative Writing

My main research interests involve progressive forms in prose and I am editor of a new journal, Prosegression, as well as a peer reviewer for Short Fiction in Theory and Practice (Intellect). My first novel (Killing Daniel) was published by Unthank Books and my short fiction has been broadcast and published by various journals and the BBC. I have been nominated for the Guardian's Not the Booker and the Pushcart Prize. I have also taught at Manchester, Lancaster and on the Guardian Masterclass Series. My first novel, Killing Daniel, was published in 2012 by Unthank Books. The second, The Sea Inside Me, is forthcoming in 2019.
