Senior Lecturer in Bioscience (Physiology)

I have taught physiology at the University of Sunderland since 2008. Prior to this I worked for the NHS in the area of self-management of long-term health conditions.

Teaching and supervision

I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, currently teaching topics relating to human physiology, laboratory skills, scientific communication, basic statistics, and haematology on BSc Biomedical Science and BSc Healthcare Science (Life Sciences).

  • I am the module leader for Human Physiology and Fundamental Skills in Biomedicine.

I am also the Level 4 lead (first year undergraduate) for students on BSc Biomedical Science.
