My teaching is focused around the development of clinical skills in health care practice. I am the Programme Leader for Non-Medical Prescribing, Advanced Diploma in Chronic Disease Management and the Advanced Diploma in General Practice Nursing. The University of Sunderland won the Student Nursing Times Award 2018 for Nurse Education Provider of the Year (Post-Registration) for these courses.
I am a Senior Lecturer and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). I also lecture and supervise dissertation students on a wide range of courses and modules including Public Health, Nursing and Pharmacy.
I am currently an external examiner for the University of Worcester's MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice and Non-Medical Prescribing modules.
