Lecturer in Law

I am a Lecturer in Law (Clinic Practice), and the Programme Leader for Law and Social Sciences on our Integrated Foundation Year.

I graduated with my degree in Law (LLB Hons) in 2011 and my masters degree in Law (LLM) from the University of Sunderland in 2019. My dissertation was on the destruction of religious artifacts in conflict and the relevance of humanitarian law.

I also have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and I'm a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Teaching and supervision

I currently lead and teach several LLM Legal Practice modules as well as being an 'Academic Placement Mentor' on the undergraduate placement module and dissertation supervisor.

Research interests for potential research students

My research interests include implied terms in employment contracts, breach of confidence in intellectual property, and legal history.

I am undertaking a PhD in Criminology and will investigate the reasons why young offenders use images on social media to portray their criminal behaviour.
