Teaching and supervision
I have been teaching on the medical course from 2019/20 doing sessions on clinical skills and topics in clinical medicine.
I graduated from Southampton University, worked in a variety of specialities including a year in New Zealand and two years as a District Health Officer with Voluntary Service Overseas in Malawi, before taking up a partnership at Newburn in 1995.
As a GP I have responsibility for 4th year students from Newcastle University at the Surgery and an interest in diabetes, respiratory disease, IT and practice management. I have had various roles in the past including being a tutor for 2nd year students at Newcastle University and a postgraduate tutor for North Tyneside with a hand in organising educational events and supporting the appraisal process.
