Senior Lecturer in Psychology

I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Psychology. I have conducted research related to health and wellbeing including trust and disclosure within computer mediated communication, protective and risk factors associated with parental bereavement adaptation, support for mental health within the emergency services and support for victims of crime.

Teaching and supervision

I teach on a number of undergraduate modules on BSc (Hons) Forensic Psychology including:

  • Introduction to Forensic Psychology
  • The Psychology of Detection Interviewing and the Criminal Trial
  • Serious and Violent Offending
  • Forensic Psychology in Practice


I also contribute to Health and Behaviour Change and teach on a range of Master's modules — mostly research methods.

Research interests for potential research students

My current research interests are rooted within mental health and forensic psychology. I still conduct research around health and wellbeing including computer-mediated communication and online disclosure.
