Senior Lecturer in Primary Education (Computing and Foundation Subjects)

After several years working in crop protection and irrigation management, I graduated with a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. Following this, I taught in a range of schools across the North East specialising in science and behaviour management. During this period, I held posts as Class Teacher, Head of Science, Educational Visits Coordinator, Assessment Coordinator, Lead Behaviour Professional, Literacy Coordinator, Deputy Head and Acting Head. One of my most satisfying posts was running a motorcycle and car mechanics course for disaffected young people in Northumberland.

Since 2009, I have held the post of Senior Lecturer in Primary Education (Computing and Foundation Subjects) at the University of Sunderland and I am currently the Programme Leader for PGCE Primary Education via independent distance learning.
