Lecturer in Science Education

I am a Lecturer in Science Education. I have been a teacher in secondary schools across the north of England for over 25 years, and have held various roles including head of department, assistant head teacher and advanced skills teacher.

I have mentored training teachers throughout my career and have created professional development programmes for various university initial teacher training providers.

As a Senior Lead Practitioner and Specialist Leader of Education I have worked with Gatsby Technical Education Projects and the SSAT to deliver teacher development training to schools, multi-academy trusts and education authorities across the country and abroad.

I am a Chartered Science Teacher and support the wider science education community through regional roles within the Association for Science Education. I have trained education professionals from all phases at national and international conferences, and have represented the UK, British Council, and other organisations in Europe, Nepal, the Middle East and Australia.
