Did you know we offer a great range of vegan options across all of our food outlets on campus?

Whether you eat plant based full time, take part in meat free Monday's or just want to try something new every now and then, there are options to suit all tastes.

The Studio/Riverside

The Studio and The Riverside are the main eateries located at the two campuses. Both offer a wide range of delicious hot and cold food and provide a daily vegan option. Student favourites include to'fish and chips, fully-loaded nachos and stacked burgers. The eateries also provide a variety of sandwiches, snacks and breakfast items and not forgetting the vegan magnums in the ice cream freezer!

The Gateway, Murray Library and Priestman Cafe

For food on the go, The Gateway cafe is a great spot for a quick bite where you will find hot and cold sandwiches, fresh fruit, snacks and cold drinks. You can also grab a hot drink and take your pick from the choice of dairy free milk alternatives available.

Hope St Xchange

The stylish and modern Barista and Baker café in Hope St Xchange serves speciality tea, coffee and cold drinks, with a selection of cakes and sweet pastries.

Reg Vardy café,

The Reg Vardy café, based at the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter's, offers hot and cold drinks, snacks and homemade cakes. The outlet also provide prepackaged sandwiches from vegan favourite 'Urban Kitchen'.

Elior are proud to use locally-sourced, sustainable ingredients and provide takeaway options in biodegradable packaging. Also, you'll get 20p off your hot drink when purchased with a reusable cup.
If you have any suggestions of anything vegan you would like to see on the menu, please do not hesitate to contact us via our social media channels @SunderlandEats.
