Since the UK is moving toward the goal of becoming a science and technology superpower by 2030, we must take every possible step to cultivate an enabling environment for harnessing AI's advantages and staying at the cutting edge of technological advancements. This entails achieving effective regulatory frameworks that foster innovation while mitigating the challenges posed by AI. While AI presents new regulatory challenges, it raises questions about whether existing legislation and regulatory approaches can adequately address these challenges, as AI is currently regulated within the framework of existing laws. Thus, it becomes essential to explore the legal challenges and implications of regulating artificial intelligence.
