Student Ambassador Scheme

Become a representative for the University of Sunderland, your faculty and subject. Help us to recruit new students and promote the university through events and open days, and gain experience and develop invaluable skills that will help you get ahead as a graduate.

As the face of the university, our Student Ambassadors are in the best position to show prospective students just why the university is so great and what life is really like as a student.

Join our Student Ambassador Scheme and you will become a casual worker for the University and will gain access to a host of benefits. Hours are very flexible and there are usually paid and unpaid opportunities throughout the year that can fit around any course timetable.

Events usually take place on a Wednesday or a Saturday so anyone interested in joining the Student Ambassador Scheme would need to be available on these days.

Why become a Student Ambassador?

Student Ambassadors really do stand out from the crowd! And, that is not just because you get to wear the famous bright orange t-shirts or hoodies. Becoming an Ambassador, you can gain experience and develop invaluable skills that will help you get ahead as a graduate.

As a Student Ambassador you will:

  • Learn skills that will look great on your CV
  • Get experience that employers look for when recruiting graduates
  • Meet new people
  • Earn a little money
  • Get involved with life on-campus beyond lectures
