Where can I get advice from the University?

Home / Help and advice / Info for international students / Advice and support / Where can I get advice from the University?

International Student Support (ISS) is a team that helps international students with immigration queries and with providing guidance and expert information.  They offer advice on Student visas and Start-up visa applications, and they check supporting documents to ensure that your visa application fulfills the necessary criteria to be granted a visa within the rules of the UKVI.

ISS support current students who are enrolled at the University of Sunderland.  If you are an applicant you will need to contact the Student Administration team and they will be able to help you – studentadmin@sunderland.ac.uk.

ISS is predominantly an appointment based service. You can book an appointment via the Compass phone app or by visiting a Gateway Help Desk at the City or St Peter’s campus.  There are also drop-in sessions available on Monday and Wednesday afternoons between 2pm – 4pm for general enquiries.  Please visit a Gateway Help Desk who will welcome you and confirm your attendance.  Please note that you may be required to wait in a queue if the drop-ins are busy.
