I have a criminal conviction, can I still apply?

Home / Help and advice / School of Medicine / Applying / I have a criminal conviction, can I still apply?

Applicants with a criminal conviction must declare this on their UCAS form, and your application will be looked at equally alongside other applicants in the admissions process. However, the University may subsequently contact you directly to confirm you meet fitness to practice requirements. If in doubt, it is advised you contact the medical school directly in confidence. Please email medicineapplications@sunderland.ac.uk.
