There is lots of useful information available for Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showman and Boater (GTRSB) students who are considering university. The websites below may be useful to find out more about how they can be supported to make their application and transition to higher education:

Friends, Families and Travellers

Friends, Families and Travellers is a charity working on behalf of all Gypsies, Travellers and Roma offering advice and consultancy, promoting health and wellbeing, contributing to research and policy making and delivery training.

The Traveller Movement

The Traveller Movement is a charity promoting the inclusion of Gypsies, Roma and Travellers through community engagement, advocating their human rights and leading on research to shape policy.

The Advisory Council for the Education of Romany and other Travellers (ACERT)

ACERT is a charity that works for Gypsy, Roma and Travellers to end discrimination and ensure they have:

  • Equal access to education
  • Safe and secure accommodation
  • Equal access to health and other community services
  • Good community relations
