Will the University library be open?

Home / Help and Advice / Studying with us / Autumn 2020 / Will the University library be open?

Published: 11 June 2020

Yes. We know you will need the library for its helpful staff, study skills support, learning resources and study spaces. Almost all our services are already up and running online and you can access library books and journals this way, and by using our 24/7 LibraryTalk service.

We want to be open for you when we can, so we will be putting in measures to keep you safe - but we need you to do your bit too. If we cannot open the building, then we will find other ways to help you get what you need if we can. When library buildings are open, you can browse and borrow books and journals, use a computer and study – in line with our ‘safe campus’ measures. This could mean there will be a maximum number of people in at any one time, and changes to opening hours.
