Yes. We know you will need the library for its helpful staff, study skills support, learning resources and study spaces.
On-campus you will be able to visit the libraries, access our resources and work in our study spaces. Much of the support from library staff will be primarily online, although we will have a staffed helpdesk in the libraries at core times. Study skills will continue to be offered online and the online library chat service is available 24/7.
In libraries, CitySpace, Gateway and teaching buildings you will find a number of open facilities such as PCs, catering and social spaces. We have a large number of PCs available for you to use across both campuses, and there are facilities if you need to print something. Everything will be open and ready for you to use, although availability will be reduced due to social distancing and cleaning requirements.
You can use the publicly available PCs to access your online learning sessions and make use of break-out spaces and social areas when you want to. Social distancing requirements will be clearly signposted; we do expect everyone to observe these and be considerate of others when using these spaces.
