I’m unable to get my Covid-19 vaccination because I’m medically exempt, what should I do?

Home / Help and advice / Studying with us / Covid-19 / I’m unable to get my Covid 19 vaccination

If you are medically exempt from receiving your Covid-19 vaccine, you will need to prove this with the NHS Covid Pass. You can find out more about the pass and how to apply on the government website

Students studying a health or social care course, that has a placement within the NHS or any other Care Quality Commission establishment, are strongly encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Please note, the University has been advised by several NHS Trusts that they will be unable to provide placements for medically exempt students. As a result, you may be unable to complete the mandatory practice placement components of your course, and therefore, may be unable to complete your degree.
