Online and MOOC

The Canvas staff development module contains a series of topics based on sessions from the CELT Continuing Professional Development programme. This is available to all academic staff and provides a resource for individuals or teams to use for staff development with follow-up support available from the CELT if requested.

Preparing for Academic Practice in Higher Education

This MOOC extends the content of the Preparing To Teach course to all academics teaching on University programmes across the globe. Content also maps against the UKPSF and descriptors for Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and evidence of successful completion can be used in support of an application for AFHEA. Use by:

  • University staff from any campus new to teaching in HE and linked to the PgCE module EDPM07
  • Academic staff in University collaborative partners to provide an equivalence of staff cpd opportunity
  • Any third party individual not associated with the delivery of University programmes
