My research is about how innovation in the healthcare logistics can lead to quality improvement & cost saving of the deliveries by analyzing the existing process in nursing homes in UK. Focusing on managing the internal logistic functions, stakeholders and the technology to formulate an acceptable business model for improvement.

Sofia Pandi, PhD Research Business and Management

My research interest focuses on food safety culture in the food manufacturing sector, in order to provide viable recommendations for effective compliance, enhanced productivity and employee commitment. As a consultant and executive speaker giving a number of in-company lectures and seminars, and I have worked with many private and public organizations in the business and hospitality Industry globally. I also participate in international and global conferences, documenting my current research area via conference papers and presentations. I have already documented my experience through three academic journal papers in my first year of my studies.

Serkan Uzunogullari, PhD Research Business and Management

My research focuses on the notion of place in video games and how it contributes to image formation and travel decision making process. I argue that the representation of places in video games can have persuasive effects on players by acting as an image formation agent and create a form of external stimuli that can affect decision making process of the tourists.


Karen Wharton, Professional Doctorate Module in Business 18m

My research interests in marketing relate to services marketing particularly the ‘creation of value’ in organisations and the ‘customer experience journey’. My research interests in teaching and learning relate to embedding ‘employability’ in the marketing and business curriculum. I am also involved in an action research project evaluating the integration of ‘critical thinking’ support mechanisms in the postgraduate programme curriculum.

Nguyen Tran, PhD Business and Management
  

Since 2012, the Vietnamese stock market has implemented the restructuring of the securities markets and insurance companies. Therefore, the development of efficiency in Vietnamese stock market, thanks to the strategic decisions and strategic guidelines for listed companies on the current stock market, is regarded as an attractive and significant topic. My research focuses on investigating the Vietnamese stock market efficiency and its development, and how it has benefited listed companies in Vietnam.
