Common mental health problems: from prevention to novel therapeutic interventions

Current research within this discipline is seeking to develop new anti-depressants, as well as new therapeutic tools for dealing with specific patient groups at risk of developing depression, such as women who have undergone traumatic experiences in childbirth.

The other key focus of research here is to understand the experiences and decision making processes of patients and staff accessing help for common mental health problems in primary care.
