Pharmaceutical Sciences: from disease to medicines use

Examples of current research in this discipline include; the development and evaluation of new drug delivery methods; pharmaceutical, metabolomic and proteomic analysis of biomarkers in cancer; new drugs for the treatment of rare metabolic diseases, such as cystinosis, and the prevention of chemotherapy induced nausea. Additional work is also looking at the effective use of medicines and the investigation of medicines review in terms of safe and effective treatment.
