Up North Media is a public relations and media company based in the North East of England. The key areas of speciality for the organisation are public relations, social media, media engagement and marketing. The company launched in February 2019 with the aim of offering something refreshingly different, that stands out from the crowd.

"Positive Allies is something that is really important to the business. It’s what we use to highlight to our clients that we have a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, whether internally, or in the services that we provide.

"It’s also a reminder internally to both our employees and volunteers, that we are an organisation that meets its obligations of the Equality Act, but that we will, and do, go beyond that.

"The process of adapting our policies, as part of the Positive Allies Charter Mark, was really beneficial to our workplace environment, as it allowed us to clearly set out what we will do to ensure that discrimination isn’t present within the business."
