At our Social Sciences Discovery Event we will cover a number of Social Science topics and issues.

Below is the schedule of the afternoon;

4.30pm  Why Being Poor Will Kill You Sooner – Inequalities in wealth and health by Dr Ian Spencer

Post-Brexit and Children’s Lives – The potential impacts on children’s lives post-Brexit by Dr    Bruce Marjoribanks

Can I Go Home Now? – Issues for vulnerable people who have learning disabilities or are mentally unwell and are in police custody by Dr Donna Peacock

5.30pm We’re Going on a Bear Hunt – An exploration of picture books by Dr Linda Graham

Aspects of Counselling – Counselling in practice by Neil Evans

Equalities and Human Rights – An introduction to issues relating to equality and Human Rights by Dr Shiela Quaid

Counter-radicalisation: The Past, The Present, The Future – The history and future of policies to deal with radicalisation by Dr Paul Dresser
