Additional and medical requirements

We strive to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible, so knowing if you have any additional requirements can help us greatly with your room allocation. If you do have any requirements that you would like us to know about then please state them on your accommodation application when requested. For more information, visit our Help and Advice articles.

Family accommodation

If you’re considering bringing your family to Sunderland we have a number of family houses available at Panns Bank and Scotia Quay. Our family houses offer space for two adults and a maximum of two children within Panns Bank and Scotia Quay. As availability is limited we can’t guarantee accommodation to all students wishing to bring their family, so please enquire quickly.

Couples and friends' accommodation

Scotia Quay offers self-contained one bedroom flats with a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. Flats in Scotia Quay are for established couples only, and are not suitable for friends. Clanny House offers two bed flats (medium rooms) for either couples or friends to share. Each flat comes with its own lounge, diner, kitchen and bathroom.
