Case Study

Sean Alan Husbands

Chester-le-Street, UK

BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS

Sean Husbands has recently joined the University of Sunderland as a first year student, embarking on our BA (Hons) Primary Education course with the hopes of becoming fully qualified as a primary school teacher when he graduates.

I chose to come and study at the University of Sunderland due to its fantastic level of support with regards to DSAs (Disabled Students’ Allowances) and I was also really impressed with the high percentage of graduate employment and overall student satisfaction.

To qualify as a primary school teacher, it’s mandatory to complete a degree with qualified teacher status, so coming to university had always been part of my plan. Being a first year student and having only just started my course it’s still very early days, but I’m really looking forward to the placements.

I would definitely recommend coming to the University of Sunderland and seeing for yourself how impressive the facilities are here. There are two brilliant campuses to explore and I’m thoroughly enjoying my life as a student so far.”
