Overview
Understand the theory and practice of common laboratory methods to analyse tissues and cells in normal and diseased states. Investigate two fields of science which are often used side by side in laboratory diagnostics and basic research: Histology – the microscopic study of tissue structure and architecture, and how that can be used diagnostically, and Molecular Biology – analysis of the macromolecules, DNA, RNA and protein extracted from tissues and cells which allows scientists to understand better how those tissues and cells behave and function.
