Overview

Study and rehearse a musical for public performance. Take a high degree of responsibility for the planning, direction, and management of your own development as a performing artist and also as the member of a creative production team. Cover a range of pertinent issues to working within a musical theatre context, covering areas such as audition techniques and preparation, subtext, and spectacle, and the impact this has upon the wider production. Further develop technical skills such as the embodiment of a character, vocal technique and dance ability through practical work. Develop a clear understanding of the characters, their relationships to each other, and their personal narratives within the main storyline.  Focus upon one musical; working as a company you will prepare and perform the piece within a professional context for an audience.
