Overview

This short course will help those working within an engineering and production environment to progress their career and strengthen their workforce through maintenance strategy.

Develop your knowledge and skillset in topics such as total productive maintenance, reliability centered maintenance, and condition-based maintenance.

By looking at different maintenance strategies through time, you will be able to utilise your knowledge and be confident when making changes with your organisation.

Course structure

This course will take place across two days at our Sir Tom Cowie campus. You will explore the history and development of modern maintenance strategies and the different aspects of maintenance management with regard to technical, administrative and managerial issues. 

The course also covers topics such as:

Total Productive Maintenance, the management practice that considers several aspects including equipment upkeep, behaviour, the production process, in order to sustain maximum equipment and operations efficiency.
Reliability Centered Maintenance, a process used to develop proactive maintenance as an asset. RCM is also used to develop solutions that go beyond maintenance to benefit the organisation as a whole.
Condition-based maintenance (CbM), a proactive maintenance technique that uses real-time data, to both monitor and improve when performance reaches unacceptable levels.
