Jiri Nozicka

BSc (Hons) Tourism Management

Jiri dreamt of studying in the UK and felt that the University of Sunderland offered the best courses and the chance to gain an internationally-recognised qualification.

Before I started studying at the University, I completed my A-Levels, had a gap year, then moved to Mallorca for half a year. I chose to come to the University of Sunderland because I wanted an internationally-recognised qualification.

I like the Tourism Management course because it’s led by professionals who have all worked in the tourism sector. The content of the course is very interesting and provides us students with fantastic new skills and knowledge. I would definitely recommend studying here because the University is very friendly and welcoming to students from all around the world.

Fortunately, I received a scholarship in the first and second year which helped to pay for my accommodation. My advice to future students is, don’t be afraid and make the most of all of the resources that the University provides, such as the scholarships, bursaries and other financial support. After my degree, I want to continue studying at the University of Sunderland and start studying a postgraduate course.
