The content of the course mirrors the Sunderland-based equivalent course Computer Systems Engineering (Top-Up).

Our courses delivered at study centres share the same ethos, material and approach as those delivered at Sunderland itself. So this course is a way to gain the benefits of an education from our University without having to move to Sunderland.

Like all courses from the University of Sunderland, this one-year course develops a blend of theory and practice. It will ‘top-up’ your existing knowledge and skills to the level of an honours degree.

Course structure

Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, seminars and group work. As well as assessments that count towards your degree, there are also on-going assessments for feedback and consolidating your learning. Assessment methods include coursework and exams.

Teaching on this part-time course takes place on evenings and at weekends. The full-time course is taught during the day.
