Confirmation and Clearing

If you've already applied to study with us, confirmation of your place will usually happen when summer examination results are released or when you have met all of your conditions. Keep an eye on UCAS Track for updates on your place.

Clearing is for:

  • Anyone who has not yet applied for university but wants to enrol on a course in September
  • Anyone who hasn’t achieved the grades required and who hasn’t been accepted for their first (firm) or second (insurance) choice university
  • Anyone who has not yet received any offers for a place at a university

Open days and campus tours

Book a campus tour and take a look around our facilities in person. You'll be guided around the campus by one of our student ambassadors or a member of our friendly student recruitment team. If you're travelling from outside of the North East region, we can offer you a free one night's stay in one of our halls of residence and even reimburse some of your travel costs!

You can also join us at our next Open Day. Come and explore the University’s fantastic facilities, meet your future lecturers and current students to find out why Sunderland is an amazing place to study.

Can't make it to an Open Day? Check out our Virtual Campus Tour and discover more about life at Sunderland and what we can offer you. Explore our campuses, course facilities, cafés and restaurants, the city of Sunderland itself and its attractions.
