Learn more about Confirmation and Clearing at the University of Sunderland and joining us in September 2021.

There are still places available and you can apply online or call us on 0191 515 3000 today.

If you don't quite meet our published entry criteria, do still give us a call to discuss your options.

Confirmation and Clearing 2021

If you've already applied to study with us, confirmation of your place will usually happen when summer examination results are released or when you have met all of your conditions. Keep an eye on UCAS Track for updates on your place.

Clearing is for:

  • Anyone who has not yet applied for university but wants to enrol on a course in September
  • Anyone who hasn’t achieved the grades required and who hasn’t been accepted for their first (firm) or second (insurance) choice university
  • Anyone who has not yet received any offers for a place at a university

If you have achieved better grades than you expected and want to apply for another course and/or university, you can change your choice through Adjustment.

Open days and campus tours

Book a campus tour and take a look around our facilities in person. You'll be guided around the campus by one of our student ambassadors or a member of our friendly student recruitment team. If you're travelling from outside of the North East region, we can offer you a free one night's stay in one of our halls of residence and even reimburse some of your travel costs!

You can also join us at our next Online Open Day. Explore the University’s fantastic campus, hear from students and staff and delve further into your course, all without stepping out of your home. Our team of experts will be on live chat to answer any questions you may have.

Can't make it to an Online Open Day? Check out our Virtual Campus Tour and discover more about life at Sunderland and what we can offer you. Explore our campuses, course facilities, cafés and restaurants, the city of Sunderland itself and its attractions.
