Join us for a day celebrating Toy Story – a film that has captured the imagination of children and adults around the world for generations.
This event invites students interested in creative writing, media, animation, and childhood studies. You'll take a deeper look at the impact and meaning behind the much-loved film before watching a screening in our recently refurbished cinema.
Workshops
Experience Toy Story on the big screen and choose one of the below workshops:
Childhood Studies
Discover how Childhood Studies explores children's experiences, identities, and development. You'll examine how popular culture, education, family life, and society shape childhood.
Animation and Media
Reimagine a real-world toy as a brand-new Toy Story character. Sketching its appearance, building a backstory, and giving it a home in the Pixar universe.
Creative Writing
Reimagine the stories of some of the other characters like Mr and Mrs Potato Head, Rex and Slinky. Put your creative writing skills to the test and write their story.
Spaces are limited, so book now to avoid disappointment. We accept school group bookings from Year 12 and Year 13 students, as well as individual registrations from enquirers.
