The former broadcaster and former Sunderland MP have been installed as Pro-Chancellors of the University of Sunderland
Broadcasting legend, Jeff Brown DL, and former MP for Sunderland Central and member of the House of Lords, Baroness Julie Elliott of Whitburn Bay have been installed as Pro-Chancellors of the University of Sunderland.
Both Jeff and Julie were installed as Pro-Chancellors by Chancellor Leanne Cahill at the University’s Summer Graduation Ceremonies at the Stadium of Light and will join current Pro-Chancellor, James Ramsbotham CBE DL in their new roles.
This comes as Margaret Fay CBE and The Rt Hon Baroness Morris of Yardley PC (Estelle Morris) have stepped down after their five-year term ended as Pro-Chancellors.
