MBA with Placement is a 12-month taught course followed by a six-month work placement, facilitated by the University.
Following the two semesters of teaching, you will have the opportunity to undertake a placement to utilise and demonstrate your skills and knowledge within a work environment.
The University will support you in securing a paid placement or work experience. Our dedicated faculty placements team is well-connected with regional and national employers and each year places candidates in roles including marketing, human resources, finance, operations and supply-chain positions.
Securing a paid work placement is a competitive process and we will help you with the selection process from application to interview.
Our students have secured placements with companies including: Nissan, Caterpillar, Fujitsu, Network Rail and White Lodging Services, as well as small entrepreneurial firms in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, class discussions, case studies, group work, presentations and applied study.
Your progress will be assessed with the dissertation and assignments.
Compared to an undergraduate course, you will find that this Masters course requires a higher level of independent reading and research.
Please note, the availability of optional modules may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances or student demand.
If you join us in February 2019, you will be offered the general MBA course with designated options.
We will support you with securing a placement, but should you be unsuccessful in the selection process, we will arrange a transfer to the 12-month MBA programme.
