Abisola Fasuhanmi

I am a Lecturer on BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing and Clinical Link Tutor for placement for Sunderland and South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust. I am passionate about providing holistic care to patients and enhancing patients journey and patient experience through compassionate care.

I teach the Practice Placement and Application of Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses modules among others. I love to teach and provide the necessary support and guidance to aid the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals.

I am a Registered Adult Nurse with the Nurse and Midwifery Council (NMC).

My clinical background includes working as a staff nurse in orthopaedics and trauma units then as a junior sister on a care of the elderly ward/general medicine which provided me the opportunity to gain experience in patients journey from admissions to discharge, and managing ill health in a surgical and medical acute care setting.
