About Alexander Moore
I qualified as a pharmacist in 2017 and subsequently have worked in multiple roles in the primary care sector, including community pharmacy and general practice. I worked in these roles alongside being an Academic Tutor at the University until 2022, when I took on a full-time teaching role.
I currently run one of the undergraduate modules for Stage 2 students, focusing on respiratory and gastro-intestinal disease, in addition to running the Trainee Pharmacist Foundation Programme, which supports graduates of MPharm and OSPAP towards their registration assessment with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
I continue to work one day per week in clinical practice in general practice, running respiratory-based clinics and polypharmacy medication reviews utilising my independent prescribing qualification.
Teaching and supervision
I teach clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice across MPharm and OSPAP. I also run the Trainee Pharmacist Foundation Programme, which supports recent pharmacy graduates through their pre-registration year and associated GPhC assessment.
