About Alice Roberts
I am a Lecturer in human anatomy and teach students on MBChB Medicine. I studied Clinical Sciences at The University of Bradford before completing a master's in Human Anatomy at the University of Edinburgh.
Anatomically, I am interested in the enthesis (the bone-tendon interface), particularly in relation to avulsion injuries obtained through sport and their subsequent repair. I am also interested in major trauma and rehabilitation and have been a member of the paediatric Trauma Audit and Research Network (TARN) since 2017.
Teaching and supervision
I have taught undergraduate students at the University of Edinburgh using cadaveric prosections and at Sunderland using a variety of technology resources including anatomage and complete anatomy. I am exploring innovative methods of teaching anatomy with the aim of enhancing student learning.
