About Andrew William Hibbitt
I am Programme Leader for the Integrated Foundation Year in Business and Tourism. I am also module leader for Impacts of Festivals and Events.
My background is in the operations of major hotel chains, including Marriott Hotels. I worked for Marriott in the north-east of England for 15 years, across many departments from junior to managerial roles.
My degree is in Tourism Management, and my master's is in Hospitality Management.
Teaching and supervision
I am module leader for FDN005, the core module for IFY Business and Tourism. I am Deputy Programme Leader for the Study Abroad and Exchange Scheme and module leader for FDN002 Foundation Project. I also teach:

My 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, along with 12 years of professional practice in higher education, combine to provide an authentic experience in the classroom along with a theoretical underpinning of pedagogy.
