About Barry R Evans
I'm an HCPC Enhanced Care Paramedic by profession with over 20 years experience in the ambulance and pre-hospital care setting. I commenced employment in September 1999 with a local NHS ambulance service. I started my career on patient transport services (PTS) and further trained through various operational roles to Enhanced Care Paramedic level. I'm currently a Senior Lecturer on the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Out of Hospital Care course.
Teaching and supervision
In 2012 I successfully completed my CertEd teaching qualification and I'm currently studying towards my PGCE. I successfully secured a role in full-time education as a Clinical Education and Development Officer and in 2015, I was promoted to Education Development Lead.
I've developed, taught and lead various medical educational programmes from care assistant grades to student paramedic programmes. I have taught and assessed in three NHS ambulance services throughout the UK and I have taught and assessed medical programmes in the private sector.
