About Cassie M Flint
Having been a teacher since well before the National Curriculum was in school, I have decades of experience ranging from teaching children to read to teaching English in the secondary sector. I have seen great changes in education, and they continue to happen, of course.
In the later stages of my career, I have specialised in the teaching of literature with a particular focus on the literature of and about WW1 and also Shakespeare. I examine for AQA at A level and also moderate the Extended Project Qualification for AQA.
I am also a British Council Schools Ambassador and have experience of helping schools to attain International School Awards. I have travelled widely and have a particular interest in the education of girls in Pakistan, where I was fortunate enough to be part of a long-running partnership.
Poetry is also a passion and I run poetry workshops, an online YouTube poetry channel Wild Writing in the time of Corona(opens in new tab) and creative writing workshops for adults. I also am a champion for the organisation Poetry by Heart.
