About Donna Marley
I am a Senior Lecturer on BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice. I am a Registered Adult Nurse and a member of The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). My clinical background is mainly in urology and public health.
Teaching and supervision
I am currently module lead for NRS200 Application of Evidence-Based Practice for Nurses. The aim of this module is to enable students to develop an understanding of research methodology and the key issues related to healthcare practice which is informed by the best available evidence to support shared decision making.
I also teach across years 1, 2 and 3 of the course, including clinical skills/simulation and public health.
Research
My interests include public health strategies within healthcare and wider participation in higher education.
I am currently seconded as a part-time Deputy Faculty Academic Support. As part of this role, I am researching the experiences of first-year undergraduate student nurses who have used Studiosity prior to submitting the NRS100 assessment.
