About Dr Jo Ann Kaye

I am a Sports Therapist and Physiotherapist. I have worked in sport, the NHS, and in private practice. I studied an undergraduate degree in Sports Science and Injury Management at York St John University and then went on to complete a Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy master's at Teesside University. I completed a PhD at Durham University looking into the embodied experiences of menopausal women during physical activity.

My research interests have included researching the knowledge and skills of student physiotherapy students when implementing psychological strategies such as goal setting in ACL rehabilitation. More recently I have been interested in women's health such as menopause and the impact this can have on women's experiences during physical activity.

I am a member of the HCPC professional body.
